The Assembly of the Spanish League (ACB) today approved the precautionary registering of Betis Sevilla in the 2017-18 Liga Endesa. So, the Spanish championship will feature 18 participants. This decision comes after a judge granted interim measures in favor of the club, who had appealed against its relegation to LEB competition after the ACB decided to go ahead with 17 teams only in 2017-18. The ACB announced it will now work in a 18-team calendar for the competition, which will not change its dates.
