The Serie A Club Assembly, which unanimously approved the final balance sheet at June 30, 2017, was held in Bologna, at the headquarters of Lega Basket. President Egidio Bianchi presented a structural plan for the 2017-18 season in a document which contains the fundamental aspects of a renewed strategy of the League that will begin with a detailed analysis of the economic and asset situation of clubs in order to determine the most suitable tools that can ensure the stability and sustainability of the movement.

The document, which was unanimously approved by the Assembly, also identifies a series of further actions on, among others, arenas, players eligibility and reward rules, and a communication strategy capable of widening more the basin of fans: all aspects that, once fully developed, will contribute to the growth and development of the top level of Italian basketball.
