Following the news on the two-year renewal of the deal between the Greek League HEBA and ERT for the rights of 11 of the 14 teams in the national championship, HEBA President Evangelos Galatsopoulos made the following statement:

"The renewal of the agreement with ERT for the TV rights of the 11 clubs is a very important and pleasant event for Greek professional basketball. First of all, because basketball stays in his home TV, ERT, and all Greek fans will have the opportunity to watch our championship, which adds value to the product and facilitates the teams in their trade agreements. It also increases its publicity as ERT acquired the rights for additional modern online services such as video on demand, the use of the "over the top" service (ert GO), etc. Even the new deal gives new prospects and even a greater momentum to the championship and teams, providing the necessary stability and security for their even greater growth. That is why I would describe it as one of the most important agreements of recent years. We believe the agreement with ERT is the result of the broad response shown by the television audience last season and is a reward for the efforts of HEBA and its to upgrade the Basket League in all areas. We believe that the new cooperation with ERT will be as successful and beneficial for both sides as the previous ones, and I personally thank the management of the public television for the renewal of our cooperation, which, like last season, will also provide for social actions by which we will reward the fans and fans of the basketball sport."
