The Belgian Pro Basketball League and Proximus have signed a deal on the non-exclusive broadcasting rights to the EuroMillions Basketball League up to 2021. Besides the best of the national championship, Proximus will also have the non-exclusive rights to the Belgian Cup (except the final), the Supercup and the Orange All Star Game (which makes for about 45 games per season).

Guillaume Boutin, Chief Consumer Market Officer of Proximus : "I am delighted that, by joining forces with the Pro Basketball League, Proximus can offer all its basketball fans the best that Belgium has to offer in this area. We are also proud to contribute to increasing the popularity of basketball in Belgium by hosting this competition on our Proximus Sport channel and making it available via all devices (Mobile, PC and TV). This partnership is perfectly in line with our ambition to offer content with a strong local presence. In addition, this offer will delight our basketball fans even more as it is very complementary to the NBA offer we already have on the Eleven Sports channels."

Arthur Goethals, President Pro Basketball League : « We are very satisfied that we came to an agreement with Proximus for the next 3 seasons. As a league we see it as our mission to increase the popularity of the game in Belgium. Having an important presence of good quality in traditional and new media is key to achieving that goal. After the agreements with other private and public operators, this is a new step in the right direction."

The Pro Basketball League had previously extended the non-exclusive agreements with VOO and Telenet and has also signed a deal with VRT to air 9 live games on Sunday afternoon on Sporza, including the final of the Belgian Cup.
